Why does my back pop by itself when I get up from sleeping in the morning?!

Question: When I get up in the morning from sleeping, I usually stretch and after that I have to bend down to fix my bed. While doing this, my back pops by itself. This has been happening for a while now. Why does my back pop by itself and what causes this to happen?

Your bed is not providing the proper back support in the night while you are sleeping, so your back is "adjusting" itself. You should look at getting a new bed with better support. You may also want to talk to a chiropractor and have your back properly adjusted.

you have scoliosis and when you hit 30 years old your gonna die sorry

Your spine is stiff. You need to loosen it once in a while by exercising. Exercise is the best cure for all the stiff bones and joints.

What causes the popping sound is a little air-bubble between your joints dissolving. Popping your back or fingers or other joints will not cause arthritis or swollen joints (contrary to popular beleif) and it takes about 30 minutes for the little bubbles to form again.

You probably get more popping in the morning because of your relative stillness for a long time which allows more bubbles to form without dissolving, so there's more there to make noise.
