Question: I'm only 22 and I found out i had rheumatoid arthritis when i was 15 or 16 when i had blood work done. The doctor prescribed me Naproxen to take daily for the pain, I have been takeing it ever sense but after about 2 years, he had to up the mg's because i had built up a tollarance to it. He has up the mg's 3 or 4 times now and I still have no pain relieve. Is there any pain medican that helped you? How long does it take untill you built up a tollarance to it. I know its illegal but I sometimes buy vicodin and oxycodone to relieve the pain. I in no way at all abuse it or take it for fun. I take unuff to relieve the pain so i can sleep at night and function in the morning. I'm probably going to be almost crippled by the time im 30 or 35 right?

Unfortunately most drugs you take, you will build a tolerance to eventually. But there is a way for you to help yourself without taking more drugs. Your body is attacking itself and causing major inflammation. To help fix this, a diet rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatories will get your body back in balance. Try to replace as much of the processed food in your diet with whole foods like fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds. Especially focus on eating green vegetables from the cruciferous family like broccoli, cabbage, kale, and mustard greens. Over time this will help reduce your inflammation.
