I broke my wrist yesterday and the cast is kind of confining. I can't scratc!

Question: stick a straw down it and either scratch or blow it works really good and for the shower your supposed to put like a breadsack over it before you shower so it doent get wet and start to stink. if its already wet use a hair dryer to dry it out and the next time put breadsacks over your cast (i would use 2 in case one has a hole) and use rubberbands to keep water from getting in it.

The point of the cast is to be confining. Stretch out a wire hanger and scratch that way!

heh you are not supposed to shove anything down the cast to scratch your arm but im pretty sure everyone does, if you have a wire hanger that works or use a nail file. . .just be careful not to cut your skin because it could get infected and you would never know it.

use an unsharpened pencil or a straightined hanger

get a wire hanger and straiten it out then fold it in half use the round end to scratch not the loose ends they will cut you

Try using talcum powder or gold bond powder. Pour some into the cast near the itch, but not a lot. That helped me when I had a cast on my foot.

Must be painful! I don't think you're supposed to scratch when you are in a cast. But I'm pretty sure other people do anyways! Try a pencil or straighten clothes hanger! Maybe pour power near the spot but don't over do it! Good Luck!
