i think that they would try their very best to convince you to get an x-ray and you should but they would most likely play it safe and put you in a cast.

you dont' need to cast it, i am a comeptitive gymnast and they saw a crack in the bone but since they wnated me to go back training they didn't put in a cast and said to work threw the pain, in two weeks i was back but horrible pain, but no you don't have to

if you don?t mind taking a long rest , get the cast tho! hihi=)

in other words you can wait

Im kinda confused but i hope this helps, usually here in the USA the doctor would get an xray to see if you broke it or not. that way they can determine if you need surgery etc. you could injury yourself more if you dont get it looked at. To be on the safe side, go get it xrayed and see a doctor. and if you get a cast so what? people will want to sign it!! and another thing because you are a minor (idk how it works in the UK) your parents would need to be with you for liability reasons

You should have an xray if you think you have a break!!!!! If there is too much swelling, they may bind it up any way until it goes down but if you leave a break in a bad position it might heel wrong as the heeling process starts very quickly, then it can lead to all sorts of conplications.
You can request a responsible adult with you but you SHOULD have it. Xray is not a big deal and it could spoil your holiday by not having one. If they determin that there is a break there, they will cast it and refer to to a uk hospital for when you return home.

It may depend which country you are in. UK?? US??
If you have a break; what's wrong with having an Xray? They don't like to put a cast on without Xraying it to see if it's broken; to see if it is in the right place before putting a cast on it. The break has to be together so the two broken parts will heal like new. If there is a jagged bone separation; it can't connect and heal where it was broken. They can make sure the break is in the right position. It's not a big problem to do. If a bone heals separated; it will give you trouble later on as well as now.
Getting an Xray is just taking a picture of your bone. It doesn't hurt. It is for your own protection to make sure the bone is in the right place before the healing starts.
Take care.

I'm not sure how it works in the UK but in the US a minor can't refuse an x-ray (because it's the parent's decision). I don't know why you don't want to have one, but the people here have listed some very good reasons for getting the x-ray. If it is broken, infection can set up in the bone, the break can heal wrong, etc. Generally if you don't get an x-ray they won't cast it. They might emobilize it, but that's about it. If you have a cast then so what...you might get lots of attention from your family and friends.
