Anyone ever had a migraine that included sharp stabbing pains at one spot on top!

Question: I've had migraines for years but never had one like this. It started out with sharp, stabbing pains that came and went - lasting a few seconds at a time. The pain slowly spread over the entire left side of my head and is now a full blown migraine but I'm still getting those intermittent stabbing pains - especially when I turn my head or move around. Any ideas on what this could be or should I see my doctor?

This sounds like it could be shingles (herpes zoster), especially if you start to see reddish spots on your head or face. Of course, it could also be caused by other conditions. I concur with the advice of the previous answerer -- see a doctor ASAP.

see you doc they have new meds for migrains now

thats how mine are if l dont get some panadol or nurofen into me, mine start as a speck in my eye, until l lose all vision in the eye, looks like a celidoscope?! if l can take something before the pain sets in l am usually right, see the doctor about some pain control and try to spot the onset of a migraine,

Go to your doctor ASAP!
It dosent sound like just a migrane
it may be something else

Go see your doctor. Might be neurological.
