I used to play until I had blisters on the ends of my fingers. They'll eventually turn into calouses and you'll be able to play until your hands won't move but the fingers will be fine. You can stop SOME of the problem by using a "flat wound" string but it doesn't give as rich a tone as a regular string. (somewhere between nylon and steel) They work alright of electrics but sound out of tune on acoustics.

thats normal, especially if you have normal or even soft skin...over time the tips of your fingers will develop caluses and this will become a non issue
