Butter and vinegar don't help. I'd say run your finger under cold water, but it's probably too late; your skin has already cooled, and the damage has already been done.
Apply a topical burn cream, bandage your finger, and gut it out for the next few days. Fingers heal pretty fast.
If it hurts buy some burn gel at the pharmacy.
To make it heal, put that on it and a band-aid. It'll be better soon, most likely. If not go to the doctor.

Please wash off the butter and vinager using cold water for a good 5 minutes. Oil traps in heat and could make the burn worse.
Then next time you do this, NEVER put butter or vinager on a burn! Only run cold water on it for a few minutes.

ice ice and more ice. nothing else. butter or vinegar will only help the burn get infected.
