Thumb injury??!

Question: I've already asked 2 other questions like this buy hey!
Anyway, last week i slipped in going down the stairs, and caught hold of the banister. But as i fell, my thumb was bent back. There was no bruising following the injury & I've had it strapped up for a week. It now feels weak when i pinch, and it won't bend to make an "L" shape. It also hurts when i put pressure on it. I've got a doctor's appointment for 2morow, because nearly all the symptoms point to a damaged ligament. Anyone with medical knowledge on here? What do you reckon i've done? What will be the treatment?
Thanks very much.

because you have had it strapped up then the reason why it will be hard to move is because the joint will have gotten stif ... go to the hospital for an x-ray to make sure everything is ok - i thought i had just sprained my thumb but when i went to the hospital the other day i found out it was broken :( if you could find my question and say what colour cast you think i should get that would be cool :)

Good Luck at the doctor's and i hope you haven't broken it like me :(

It is stiff since it has been wraped up. You should go to the hospital and get it x-rayed to make sure everything is okay. It usally bruises and swells a lot when it's broken but there is still a chance its broken without bruising. otherwise just let it rest untill you go to the doctor tomorrow.

It's called gamekeepers thumb injury. You should get it checked out so that it will heal properly.
