8 per day is ok so long as you only take 1 gm (2 tabs) every 6 hours (max 4mg per day). Another option is Duatrol (panadol osteo). You take 2 X 665mg tablets every 6 hours. It has 2 layers, an immediate realease and an intermediate release. I find it very good for my osteoarthrits (other meds dont agree with me either). Paracetamol is safe and mild only when taken properly so always follow directions on the packet.

you would get immune to the effects very soon

never EVER self-medicate

Paracetemol is really bad for your liver, much like alcohol, so it's not the best idea to do it forever.

Of course you can. Unfortunately your forever would finish in about 10 days.

no you can only take a maxium of 6 in 24 hrs and only for a short time, and if you have stomache problems you should consult your gp before takeing any .

8 tablets a day will make 4g of paracetamol. the minimum allowance is 3g/day. hence dont take that. if you have stomach problems with other nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drugs like aspirin you can opt steroids like prednisolone, etc.

I am afraid there would be a problem. Taking this much is seriously bad for the liver. My friend once took 8 and was sick for over 2 days. It's never a good idea, as your liver wont thank you in the long run! Whilst it detoxifies and gets rid of nasty things, in the long term, you could suffer from irreversible liver damage and die-worse than arthritus!!!

I would suggest you speak to your GP and mention that your arthritus is very bad, in fact you are aching all over. They may refer you to a specialist who can help, or prescribe something stronger to help your pain. Just please stay away from the paracetomol ok?!

Taking Parecetamol every day is like taking an overdose. Just image the damage it will eventually cause in the long term. Seek the medical advice of a GP.

8 X 500mg paracetamols per day is the guide line amount
you can take.
Long term affects should be monitored, but it may be OK.
I have disc problems (lower spine) i take 600mg of Gabapentin 3 times a day, and also 50mg Zomorph 2 times aday. i also take paracetamols when needed along with senna and ranitadine which is for stomach problems.Paracetamol alone is not strong enough for medium to severe pain. You need to speak to your GP.

it is not a good idea to take paracetamol for long periods as it is bad for you liver.

Yes, 8 a day is fine, but you might like to talk to your doctor about other options as there are meds out there that won't affect your stomach.

Ignore the people that say Paracetamol is dangerous. It's only dangerous if you overdose!
