Can you get serious headaches from a bad teacher?!

Question: My friend and her husband are convinced that their daughter's terrible headaches come from the fact that the teacher in her third grade class is not "friendly" enough. She has these headaches on the weekend also, or wakes up with them in the middle of the night. There's no accusation that the teacher is touching her or anything sinister like that, it's just that my friend and her husband are convinced that the teacher must be the cause.

They've had MRI, spinal tap, eye exam, and everything else possible. They've taken the kid to a chiropractor and to an acupuncturist. Now they've got the idea to have the little girl's class changed to another teacher. What do you think? Is this a reasonable explanation?

If the child has been within hearing range of hearing the parents' belief that the cause is the teacher. The child may get anxiety and stress when thinking or near that teacher. Since the child has had numerous tests and exams by doctors, and you will unlikely be able to change the parents' mind, changing the class or to a different teacher will alleviate that factor. If the child continues to have headaches after moving away from that particular teacher, then the parents will realize perhaps there is another cause and continue to investigate it medically. There are those people who are just prone to chronic headaches, I of which am one. So is my neice and grandson. They started "noticing" their headaches at age two. It can't hurt by changing teachers and it'll put to parents back on to the correct medical diagnosis path hopefully. If it does work, glory be! Good luck!

could be. Headaches can be caused by stress and/or depression.

It can be caused by stress.

Headaches are always caused by stress. Stress comes in three "flavors":
1. Mental / Emotional / Psychological: This is from too much work, negative mental attitude, cognitive dissonance, arguments, home / work issues, love / relationship issues, spiritual issues etc.
2. Physical: This is from accidents, poor posture, fights, violent sneezes, sleeping, sports, sitting on your duff or at the computer too much (like me), etc.
3. Chemical: Medications, vaccinations, illegal drugs, recreational drugs, food additives (preservatives, pesticides, herbicides, hormones, antibiotics, etc.) and that sort.

All stress will cause subluxation (misalignment of bones) and all subluxation causes dis-ease and disease. You would do well to have a consultation with your doctor of chiropractic - and feel free to bring him or her this information. You are likely to improve quite a bit with appropriate chiropractic care.

How about allergies? It may sound dumb, but I had headaches and "viral symptoms" from second grade through high school. In my sophomore year I was diagnosed with allergies to dust and molds. My doctor figured it was associated with books and such as I was never bothered during the summer when I spent most of my time outside.

It could be that the problem is environmental in nature. Though to conclude that it is the teacher....I find it a bit of a strectch. Is this girl the only one having these headaches? If there are other students and faculty having continuous headaches, the school may need to check for a gas leak. My wife started having headaches at work, come to find out the building had a natural gas leak in it. You might want to seriously find out or mention that to your friends. Gas leaks are odorless, tastless and most of the time soundless. It is a silent killer.
See if your friends can get the school to have the building inspected for a natural gas leak, The test, I think, is relatively cheap and could save alot of lives.

Pain is frequently caused by psychological or emotional stimuli. It is not an insult to say pain is "all in the head," as even pain that corresponds to an injury is in the head, it just has its corollary on the body. Back pain, for instance, can be caused by stress leading to the release of a chemical that inhibits oxygen being taken to the muscles, and so there is an anaerobic thing going on (I'm not a physician or biologist, so sorry about the poor description). Since she's a child, if it is in fact the teacher causing stress, it might be simpler and better for her to just remove the stimulus rather than deal with making her recognize that she needn't be so stressed. Most adults have trouble with getting rid of pain when they can't avoid the stress stimulus (myself being one of them).

Interestingly, I used to get terrible stomach pains as a kid, and I disliked my third grade teacher. In retrospect I think they were partly psychosomatic.

MANY TIMES CAUSE IS DIFFERENT AND WE SUSPECT ALL THINGS WE DISLIKE.
Changing class is good thing, at least one of our doubts are vanished which will help that teacher also.

If you are in cold country use all warm things.
If you have cough/cold body hot water bath will help.
Massage and exercise in front of morning sun is good thing, pl try.
Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief.

There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache, Ear ache/ringing, Stomach ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.
Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits like dates, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.
