Post gall bladder surgery pain?!

Question: I had my gall bladder taken out last July. Since then, I keep getting occasional pain on that side. I have 2 young children that I lift quite a bit, so I'm inclined to think it's a muscle pull, but I'm wondering if the surgery has made me more susceptible to pulled muscles on that side, or is it something else related to the surgery that I should get checked out? I didn't seem to get this before the surgery.

It's probably the scar tissue that formed as part of the healing. Scar tissue is not very elastic in nature, and doesn't move with the freedom of normal tissue. (Think about really bad burns). It might minimise as the years go on, or not change much at all.

Give it a name and make a friend of it. It could be around for a while. And just like all friends, it can be a pain sometimes.
