Cartilage question?!

Question: I got my ear pierced in the cartilage with a 20 guage stud four days ago.......a few days ago my mom pulled it on accident and it hurt the next day...now its swollen, and sore....
i hope its not infected, but does anyone know what I should do for the swelling?

Get a warm cloth and put it in a bag and hold that on your ear a couple times a day... the heat will increase blood flow in your ear and it will heal faster.

Keep it clean - with saline or ear cleaning solution, and rotate your jewelry to keep the hole open. Maybe put an ice pack on it for the swelling, but it won't help much.
