one of my best friends tore her ACL playing lacrosse and had to get surgery. i'll be honest, she said it hurt after surgery, but she took pain medicine to stop it hurting. just remember the surgery is going to make it STOP hurting!
i'm not sure how long recovery is, you can look that up on google or something.
but yes, you will definitely be able to walk normally again, my friends loved to run and now she is running regularly again.
