I have one of those that flairs up from time to time, especially if I bend my wrist back too quickly. They are painful, for sure! I wouldn't use a needle, steralized or not. You might end up injuring yourself more. Last time I went to the doctor for it, he gave me a cortizone shot. That hurt like HELL, and made the pain worse for a few days before it got better. It took care of it for about a year, and I injured my wrist again and it came back. I'm not convinced they will ever totally go away :( Just see your doctor and ask him about the cortizone shot.

You really need to tell you Dr. that is painful. That doesn't sound right.

No you should not mess with it...not a good idea.

dont worry.....there is a very old remedy for this.......you hit it with a bible.....or any large book..........give it a good quack......its not a pleasant experience.....lie your arm on a table.....and go for it........it will disperse the lump.............. ps... i was telling my mother about this and after hitting it you bind it with a bandage
