I have this really painful sore on my leg, I have pic can anyone look and tell m!

Question: this is not the first one I've ever had and it is very very painful I thought it could be a ingrown hair, but when I look at it with a magnifying glass I don't see anything! It hurts so bad I've even considered lancing it just to releive some of the pressure.

It looks to me like a boil...try taking a really HOT (as hot as you can tolerate) tub soak, if it is a bil, sometimes just being heated like that will allow it to rupture and drain on it's own. If it doesn't, you "should" have it lanced by a Doctor (to prevent infection)...that said...if you decide to lance it yourself...clean the boil first (use rubbing alcohol or iodine)...take a single use scalpel or diabetic lance (this is crucial...you do NOT want Hepititis or an infection from an unsanitary lance) and quickly cut through the skin at the top of the boil, Using a hot washcloth, apply pressure to the ruptured boil, until it stops draining...apply an antibiotic ointment. If the area surrounding the boil is hot to the touch, or begins to turn red...go to a Doctor...those are signs of infection, and a blood infection (aka septiciemia) can be lethal if not treated quickly.

It looks like a boil, that's like a really big nasty pimple. Try hot compresses to help it drain, but if it gets worse, probably see your doctor.

if i were you i would go to the doctor. specially that it is painfull.

Get a pin into it.

Its just a big pimple - probably caused by an ingrowing hair or the skin cream you are using.

Relieve the pressure and the pain and pimple will go.

go to the doc and get it drained. It will ensure that you don't get any superimposed infections later.

Hi, This looks to me like an abscess i have a friend who suffers from them occasionally and my daughter in law had one. Do not pick or squeeze it you could make matters worse, go see your Gp as you may need antibiotics, My friend and my daughter inlaw had to have a small op to remove the core. You can dissolve a small ammount of epsom salts into hot but not boiling water use a flannel and lay it on the affected area this will help to release the puss thus relieve pain.

it really looks like a boil and apply hot clothes to try to drain it but if it is really painful then have it lanced by the doctor for some relief... dont let it go to long...
