Toes are one of the most difficult areas to treat especially if broken.
The toes when banged hurt a lot, swell a lot and take time to heal as it is a sensitive area to hurt it does not mean they are broken they may be very badly bruised inside and the bruising takes a few days to come out.
Take her to doctors if she is like it tomorrow as they will be able to tell straight away if broken and will send you to hospital to have it checked and even then they will just strap them together no plaster.
It sounds like a case of badly bruised to me but go to doctor if she is still hopping around as it may now be in her head it is going to hurt but a yes or no from doctor will not only reasure you but also her.

Take her to A&E for an X-Ray.

There isn't much that they do for broken toes......as long as there isn't any deformity in her toe.....I'd probably just "buddy tape" that toe to the one next to it......You can take her to the doc for an xray....but if it is broken....they'll most likely just tape it too. Give her some ibuprofen for the discomfort and see if that helps. If this doesn't help, she definitely needs to be seen by the doc.

podiatrist

Her toes are broken. If they are turning weird colors, then her toes are losing blood and oxygen. Which means that her toes could rot and become amputated. Get her to the hospital ASAP.

Call NHS Direct they should be able ot advise you.

well it is not broken or she would have major swelling and bruising but she probbaly brused it rea;;y bad, i stubbed my little toe on a metal chair 3 days ago and it still hurts! so i think she will be ook

well a break doesnt swell you could ring the doctor in the morning and get emergancy appointment c what they say before waiting at hospital for hours the doctor will advise you what to do if its all fine and she is playing on it tell her she has to go to school and if she cant go to school then shel have to lay in bed all the time till it gets better and cant play out shel probably make a full recovery unless the does say its broke good luck

continue do what the doctor advises and follow up with an orthopedist next week. treat the pain with the meds prescribed.

from what u say it doesnt sound like they are broken but I would take her to a&e to be sure. when my daughter hurt her finger it looked black she couldnt move it and even the nurse thought it was broken but it wasnt. when my son did the same it was swollen but no bruising and broken in 2 places. u cant tell and theres not much they can do except strap them together but its best to be sure. also if they say they are not broken then she will have no reason to say shes not going to school
