Nose bleed?!

Question: This has happened a few times within 6-7 months where I would wake up with my nose bleeding.

It would only happen once or twice in a couple months and it has always happened when I was sleeping.

Sometimes I would wake up thinking my nose was just stuffed and runny because it was cold during the night so I end up picking my nose sometimes when Im half asleep not knowing it was blood that was going down. Thus making my fingers and the outside of nose all red. Including a few spots on my pillow. :/

That only happened the first time it started happening. But now, when I wake up and notice something is dripping from my nose. I look if its blood or not. Then I go straight to the bathroom and wash it off.

But my question is, how come this has started happening when I havent experienced nose bleeding in my sleep my whole life?

Is there something wrong with my brain or something? Or maybe it's just the temperature? Am I sick? What do you think?

Sometimes, it can have to do with air pressure or humidity -- dry air can cause nosebleeds, because the skin inside your nose gets dried out and cracked. I used to get nosebleeds all the time, and now I only get them sometimes. Blood pressure can also have to do with it, and whether you've done anything to your nose recently (like hit it on something, for example).

How old are you? I know it is very commen for teenagers and pre teens i.e. 11 - 14 year olds to get nose bleeds at night. I myself had them at night for about 6 -9 months

I get nosebleeds a lot, it's worse when the air is dry. It is usually caused by a thinner than normal membrane on the inside of your nose. I actually had to have mine coterized at one point. So no, there's nothing wrong with your brain, you probably just have a thin membrane as well. if it happens to often, try putting a little bit of vaseline on the inside of each nasal cavity.

Hi.
Gave Feathere thumbs ups.
Good answer.
I myself have not had nose bleeds, unless it was when i was younger and i just don't remember.
Eat raisins. Its suppose to stop a light nose bleed.
Maybe its the iron in them.
This was told my someone i know and for some reason works for her.
Have a Happy B-Day Take care.

The cold, dry air of winter also makes nosebleeds more likely. People who take aspirin or other drugs that interfere with the
blood's ability to clot (anticoagulants) commonly develop nosebleeds ..... and how old are u ???
because in old age arteries grow weak and are easy to rupture .
Normally it is not so serious , but if it occurs regularly then u must consult a doc. He wud examine the nose and find the site of bleeding and wud seal it if necessary ...
.

Perhaps you have weak blood vessels that can be strengthened with citrus bioflavonoids.

You can find further information in a search for "citrus bioflavonoids" + "blood vessels".
