What could be causing this?!

Question: Now first off, please don't say go to the doctors. I know none of you are doctors, I just want your opinions. Ok, so about 5 days in a row now, I have been having this throbbing headache. Lasts from about noon to 10 or so at night. I have taken some Advil twice, it helped a little. I also have been feeling the need to take deep breaths just about as long as the headaches, 5 days or so. Now that only happens usually at night, but not always. Usually I hafta take a deep breath every few minutes. Well today, I have been pretty shakey all day and a little while ago my heart started to be extremely rapid, like it was going to burst from my chest. What do you think is causing this? A panic attack (I have been prone to have them) or could it be something else?

no its not a panic attack, it sounds like a mild migrane- i often get dizzyness and nausea with mine and end up crashing on the floor. shakes can be a sign of stress, rapid heart rates can be caused by anything * dads a doctor and hovering over my shoulder*, it could be high collesterol, blood pressure or something like that. i know you said you dont want to go to ypur gp. because to be honest they normally tell you to sop being a hypercondriact, but try booking a healt check with the nurse and describe your symptoms, they probably wont do anything but it will put your mind at rest

Are you getting enough to eat? Sometimes (even if your not diabetic) your sugar level can go haywire and cause all these problems. Also some fresh air might help the headaches. Hope this helps.

Most DEFINITELY sounds like panic/anxiety attack. A bad one at that.

Hate to say it since you said you don't want to hear it, but you should consult a physician. In the meantime, try getting some fresh lavendar, or some lavendar scented bath salts/gels, and take a really hot, steamy bath. Lavendar is a natural aromatic stress reliever. The hot water will also help your body relieve stress and tension. It'll also make you perspire which releases some toxins in the body that could possibly be a contributing factor to your headaches. The hot water ALSO helps relax tense muscles and it may help you get a more sound sleep.

I suffer from horrible anxiety. When I feel like I'm about to tear my hair out, I take deep breaths, dim the light and have some peaceful alone time for a few minutes before continuing my day. When I get home, I take really hot, steamy baths and I add different aromatic scents to help relax me. I try pampering myself, but I also have to take Klonopin. A lot of stress relieving medications might make you drowsy, so be leary of that factor.

Good luck.
