Very aggravated!!!!?!
Question: im pregnant and from all the dry heaving i pulled or strained or tore or ripped a muscle under my left rib cage! it hurts so bad and just when it starts to feel better....i will sneeze or cough and it will rip again and start all over!!! everytime i go to the doc they just say take it easy or rest but its not getting better at all i dont know what to do! i cant stop myself from sneezing or coughing. i cant even pick up my kids. is this one of those things that gonna take a year to heal or something?

Until you can adequately rest this, it will continue to get aggrivated each time you sneeze, cough, or strain (picking up your kids). You could try some ice because with most strained muscles the swelling is lessened with application of ice. It also helps to numb the pain a bit while cold. See if your ob can prescribe or recommend anti-inflammatory meds to help with swelling. I would definitely check with your ob before trying any of these remedies. PS My wife threw out her back the same way and the ER gave her a med to help with swelling and pain. Ultimately though, the problem will not be healed until adequately rested.
