This can be quite difficult - you feel like you need to be a contortionist ! I'd recommend that you lie on your left side (if you're right handed,) and have everything ready. Prop your right leg on a pillow to expose the area. Then, with your gloved right hand, feel for the anal opening by running your finger from behind towards the front. The first opening you hit will be the right one. Slip the suppository in as far as you comfortably can, and then remove the supporting pillow and close your legs. Stay in the lying position for about 10 minutes if you can...this will give the suppository time to melt and be absorbed by the rectal mucosa, giving you the pain relief you need. Then you can get up, and the supp. should not come out. Good luck !
