i had one bout 2 months ago. twas a piece of cake--nothing to it. getting ready the day before wasn't any fun. mine turned out clean and i'm a male in my 70's
I've had 2 colonoscopys so far first one at age 21 and 2nd at 27 they removed polyps both times and did biopsies and they were fine. I have colon cancer on both sides of my family my grandmother on my moms side died at 69 and my dads sister died at age 48, I figure better to be safe than sorry. The doc didnt even want to do one to me at 21 but I convinced him otherwise and I'm glad I did because you never know what those polyps could turn into 10-20 years from now. Colon cancer is one of the most cureable cancers out there but the key is if caught early enough. I think age 50 is too old to start screening, (not that 50 is old) I just think they should start maybe around 35. Just my opinion.
I HAD ONE A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND GOT GREAT RESULTS
You shouldn't need a colonoscopy until you are fifty. Just had mine, I was clean. No polyps, no runs no errors. But why would you want a colonoscopy at such a young age?

I had my first routine screening colonoscopy last year. They found 2 very tiny polyps which were benign. So, I'm good for another 20,000 miles. ;-)
