Question: I live in Wisconsin and quit smoking on January 1st. Im using the patch. So far, so good. A friend of mine said someone was giving away free patches for those who quit smoking this year. But she couldnt remember the number to call. Have you heard of anything? Also, if you have quit, any advice is appreciated.

ignore the previous answer. i think there was a catch to those free patch giveaway. it is free to you but your health insurance company may pay for it. You can also google "free nicorette patches" and see what comes up. i think i can quit anytime i want. there are days when i can go for hours and hours without smoking. i didnt make that resolution this year :)
Seems to me if you could afford cigarettes you can just spend that money on the patches. It amazes me how many folks are looking for something for nothing.
