Foot pain... how to heal quickly?!

Question: I just started running, I have good running shoes, but I think that I've injured myself somehow. The pain is on the bottom of my foot, on the outside plane along the foot bone between my heel and pinkie toe (in the middle of the bone).

I know that it's not plantar fasciitis, as the pain is not in the arch of my foot.

I've already been staying off my feet as much as possible, I've started using a frozen water bottle to ice my foot, and to roll it out, and I've been using a towel to try and stretch my foot. Is there anything else that I could be doing? I start football practice on Saturday... 6 hours of hell, and I need/would like to be healed by then.

you might need insoles to support your foot better.
if possible, stay OFF the foot totally for 24 hours.

u need to seea doctor bcuz you may have sprained something, an dit really wouldn't be a waste of time to go.
You may have been running continuously for days w/ out allowing enough time for your body to heal or may not have stretched enough before going.
Try asprin and go to a doctor!

Sounds like you need some prescription orthotics. Go to your local friendly podiatrist and they will construct a good foot support for you. It's only going to get worse without
their help.
