Whats a good way to get my neck pain to go away?!

Question: I play video games but i guess from holding my neck in a certain position gets it sore, and then I'm like that for the day. Is there something i could to prevent that?

Use some stretching techniques. Ive included a link but you have have a look around online for some other suggestions.

Have a break every so often. get up and walk around - get some fresh air etc

Take some nurofen/advil for some pain relieve if you need it. Also try using some heatrub to loosen things up.

Try to think about how you are sitting and holding you neck

I feel your pain... I have the same problem, from sitting infront of the computer. Now I lie down with my laptop on my lap, because it doesn't stress my neck too much, but I do worry about what it's doing to my spine. I still do get some neck pain though.

Take regular breaks, and do neck exercises. Use your hand to resist the movement of your head, and move your head slowly in each direction - forward, backward, around to the sides. You might also want to go to a physiotherapist. Also, visiting a massage therapist should help reduce the tension.

Best of luck. =]

Fill a gym sock up with regular cooking rice
tie off the end
microwave it for 1 min on high and wrap it around your neck when you are playing.

just re-microwave as needed

Your posture must improve. You need a stable and supportive seat along with some neck retraction exercises and a simple traction device.
