This can become a lifethreatening situation if it continues. Four days is long enough for concern. At this point I think you need a doctors advice before a laxitive as a great deal of pressure can be built up and do damage if the blockage is severe and the wrong kind of laxitive is used. An enema might help considerably and remove the problem. The pain in the rectum area could be from a large buildup that an enema could relieve. I would call a doctor unless the enema is productive and relieves the pain.

sounjds like you may be constipated if you havent had a b.m in 4 days...call your doc and ask them what it could be... if it is contipation...you can take a laxative...eat some more fiber...relax!!

You may be constipated and have alot of gas following through your system, go to the drug store and buy something for easy bowel movement and see if that helps.

you need to take a laxative maybe. Either that or you really did have a good weekend. You know how your butt cheeks can get spread out a little too much and it's like a paper cut right at the top of your butt crack. I hate when that happens..Well not when it's happening, but later on when it's over...If thats what it is then vaseline or neosporin.
Very serious. Blocked bowel can eat a hole in the tube. Nursing homes watch for this and use FLEET injected into the butt as it is an enema type product made of organic detergents to pull water into the tube. Works well but so does warm soapy water at home with grandma's enema needle and water bag. I saw in a movie California has enema boutiques for tube washing. Some alternative medicine women doctors use time consuming enemas of mild coffee water. I found that pure vegetable cooking oil makes me go many times a day.
