Lower back pain any suggestions?!


Question: last night i was helping my mum lift tables then after ten minutes i had severe back pain in my lower back everytime i took a step to walk it would hurt really bad like spasm i find it hard to move stand lie down my mum said its better to walk around when you got abad back if you know any ways i could ease the pain would love to know thank you

I used to have serious back pains and a chiropractor really helped.

But the best thing he did was stress the importance of exercises for my back.

Here are tips from my outline of my research:

*Upon injury, immediately drink a few glasses of water with a couple of anti-inflammatories. Aspirins are fine. Do this right now.

*Drink water, lots of water, on a regular basis. Why?

The discs in your back need to be hydrated to be supple enough to stabilize your spinal column. Keeping your discs healthy could help you avoid many back problems including sciatica.

*Activity heals a bad back not bed rest. As soon as you can, move about.

Consider a good back program that includes:

1)Strength. Increasing your back strength, even moderately, will make you better at sports & at work, make bones stronger, lower risk of osteoporosis, tone & shape muscles.

2)Flexibility. Normally decreases with age leading to many back problems. Increasing flexibility will improve movements, improve range of motion, make you better at sports and other physical activities.

3)Endurance. Back muscles should be trained to tire less easily, maintain ability to work or exercise for longer periods of time

4)Balance. All parts of your back must be conditioned or the imbalances will lead to strain and injury. Moreover, other parts of the body must be conditioned to support and balance strong, flexible back muscles. That
