Dispersed muscle pain.?!
Question:
Dispersed muscle pain.?
I've been having dull dispersed muscle pain in my back. It spread from my neck and shoulder down to my hip and buttocks. It also makes my arm and leg feel very uncomfortable.
The pain is mainly on the left side of the body but i do get it also on the right side
following is a list of test I've run:
MRI of brain, neck, spine, and lower back and they all came back fine.
Blood tests including thyroid hormones and that came back fine also.
Other symptoms include:
-hand tremor
- muscle weakness
-anxiety
-minor headache with dull pain behind the eye on the same side of the pain
-shallow sleep.
Doctors seem that the pain is psychosomatic, Here are some of the medications i tried
painkillers: advil
deanxit (anti stress drug)
muscle relaxants ( norgesic, norflex, and legaflex)
antiinflamatory (xefo)
xanax (0.25 mg 3 times a day)
SSRI ( cymbalta)
cymbalta got my spirit up but i didn't find pain relief yet! any help or feedback is appreciated

am a regular swimmer, i used to swim laps twice a week. But then the pain started and all the medications are kicking the energy out of , so i quit swimming for a while, but am going for a couple of laps in an hour
Answers:
Have you seen a sports doctor? You might benefit from an exercise program to strengthen your back... but you need a professional...not a magazine article... to show you what to do.
If you possibly can...get to a pool and SWIM. Loosening your muscles and strengthening them is better for you than waiting for a medication to work. Sitting won't help. Good luck to you. Hugs, Gina C.
