Question About Gallbladder issues?

I latley have been having a lot of sharp shooting pains right at the end of my sternum and right around the area where my floating ribs start. I have been a little more gassy then normal and I have been going to the bathroom(#2) more frequently. I am also Native American, slightly overweight but not considered obese, and taking birth control. I know these three factors up my chance of developing gallstones. The pain and gas generally starts about an hour or two after I eat. Is there a possibility I have gallstones? I'm not really sure what the symptoms are. Has anyone else had these problems? I probably will go see my doctor but does anyone have any questions I should ask, concerns, or thoughts I should know about and ask? thank you so much for your help and time.

I am also Native American, on BC pills, and a bit overweight. That is exactly how my gall bladder problems started. Anytime i would eat something that was creamy or fried, I got a sharp pain to the right of my sternum, and I also vomited a couple times. they will need to do an ultrasound to look for gallstones. The good news is that it is an outpatient procedure now, and I was ok in about 2 weeks.
