Im getting braces on my top teeth?
Ahh!!, im getting them in about a month. Anyone out there who has or had them, do they hurt, what changes did you experience. Tell me everything

Hi there,
I had them on both my upper and lower teeth for two years. They really aren't that bad at all. And having them put in doesn't really hurt.
There are only two things I found hard to deal with. The first was on the night that they were first put in. It was quite painful and hard to chew on anything.
Each time I went to have them tightened was also like that. It would be okay for the first couple of hours and then that first night would be painful.
The second thing was that every now and again the wire would rub against the inside of my mouth. This only happened VERY RARELY though. And they give you something to stop it from actually cutting into the inner lining of you mouth.
The best bit is when they come off and you see the difference in your teeth. Its amazing! :)
