When I get migraines it's normally because I have had too much or too little caffeine. I see lights and stripes, what I call "light shows" in my field of vision and that's what tells me a migraine is coming. If I drink some caffeinated tea and have some advil, the headache doesn't come. If I've had too much caffeine, I drink a lot of water and have some advil and that stops the headache from coming too. I also have found it helps to massage your face, especially where it is really tight. This releases some of the tension and can also prevent the headache and/or ease the pain. It is important to find out what the first symptoms are for you and medicate before things get bad. Once it gets really bad the only thing that helps is a really dark room and sleep.
Go to the doc.
