Would I benefit from medical marijuana? Any suggestions as to asking parents/doc!
Question: Would I benefit from medical marijuana? Any suggestions as to asking parents/doctor & getting a card?
Answers:
From my own personal experience, medical marijuana helped me tremendously in getting restful, quality sleep. Prior to that, I was taking sedating medications to try to help me sleep through my pain with little success. Getting medical marijuana was the best thing I could have done.
Keep in mind, sleep is essential to the healing process of diseases and chronic pain. When we do not get proper sleep, our bodies cannot heal while we are sleeping. This keeps our condition from getting better, or worse, makes the pain progress.
Just look up medical marijuana doctors on the internet to find one in your area. You will also find great resources explaining the pros and cons of marijuana use. Like any drug, it has it's side effects. You will also be able to learn the requirements of a minor's ability to receive med marijuana. I do not know what the laws are in that regard.
Living in Missoula Montana, where medical pot has taken the city by storm, I can tell you a few things. First off I smoked it recreationally for years and found it to be a good relaxing agent, sleep aid, and helps the appetite. It also makes you really tired, and kills motivation. The medical grade stuff now a days is really strong. Stronger than it needs to be I think. I've had back problems for a good while; most recently a bulging disk that was best helped with cortisone injections. I was happy to try medical pot and found, at best, it distracts you from pain. It does not actually alleviate it. For some a distraction is good enough medicine, for me it was not worth it. If you like being stoned all the time then you have your answer. I did not want to be stoned all the time for a "distraction" from very real pain, I needed pain relief. While opiates have their problems too....if you are in real pain the trade off is not so profound.
No, you wont benefit, especially in terms of pain relief.
Funny. I've had countless problems in most of my joints since I was 12, and I never needed marijuana to sleep.
take an ibu-profin
if you want drugs, don't lie to yourself
