Maternity Coverage when quitting Job to move....?!

Question: Maternity Coverage when quitting Job to move....?
My husband and I are *trying* to get pregnant currently. He is employed and we are both on Health Insurance through his job (BCBS). We live in Florida and we are planning on moving in about 5 months out of state. My question is, if I DO become pregnant before then, and then he quits his job to move, what happens as far as my prenatal care options? We probably wouldn't be able to afford COBRA since he'd have quit his job and neither of us would be working. Will the insurance company "drop" me even while I am pregnant? What should I do?????
Thanks for your advice

Well the insurance company wouldn't have any obligations to keep you on the insurance unless they were being paid. Bad news.

The other thing is, if he did find another job that had insurance, they may not cover you due to preexisting conditions. The fact that you are already pregnant before the insurance took over.
They would be obligated to treat your child after it is born.
Your best bet would be to go with the cobra really. If you can't afford it, your going to have a lot of trouble seeing a doctor as well.
You can possibly qualify for Medicaid however, it might take some time to get it going as well.
Good Luck!
