why do people want to become a nurse?!

Question: Why do people want to become a nurse?
needing to know why people want to become a nurse, for my research paper.

Answers:

Many people want to become a nurse to help people. Whether it's for the satisfaction of knowing that they've done something to help others, to make them better or for being able to know that someones gone home happy and healthy because of your help.

It beats the heck out of me, but I am extremely grateful to all the caring and dedicated people who enter the field. I certainly could never do it. I don't have the patience (no pun intended) to care for sick people on an ongoing basis and I'm sure I could never deal with all the hospital politics and protocol.

Because it is the easiest way for women to come over from other countries and make a better wage in the US than most US citizens do.

If the US federal government had the same laws as many other countries do, this would not be allowed and then you wouldn't see the flood of people wanting to be nurses as you do today in the US.

payment is high, and no malpractice insurance to buy, most hospitals/nurses are paid by insurance companies, so hospitals stick the hell out of the insurance for money
