Question:
Continual headaches every day ? Really painful! Thanks (: long description but please readd :)?
Okay, so I have had a headache for almost two years! It has been an everyday headache that is constant pain pretty much. Medicine rarely will help. Yes, I do have a history of migraines, but this is definitely not a migraine! My doctor didn't quite know and put me on a few medicines. They didn't help. He thought that maybe I had a sinus infection so he pushed for my insurance to let me go get a CT Scan of my head but all came back normal so we know I don't have any tumors...as of then at least. It can range from being just a nuisance to a really bad headache. I am a 14 and a female. Also I get light-headed a lot and have little "black-outs" My vision will go all black for about 2 seconds then fade back it happens a lot. It can happen every couple of days to multiple times in ONE day! got an MRI recently and nothing showed up, again. We thought it might have been a sinus infection we missed on the CT scan but thats not true anymore. I am so clueless. I went to Children's hospital of Pennsylvania on January 28th. I am going back March 7th and probably ever 4 weeks from there on until we find a treatement that works. I went and was put on 400 mg riboflavin daily, 3 quarts of solid water (not including other beverages) , handful of leafy greens every day, 500mg naproxen, and i believe something else. but I have kept a headache journal since that day and haven't found a pattern. I tried the diet they gave me but didn't help at all. Any ideas? I am seeing the head of neurology this time.
Oh!!!! and!! they thought it was stress so they put me on some medicine and I almost went into a coma from it and it was the lowest dosage (10MG) so I shouldn't have had this bad of side affects, apparently I was sleeping like I was in a Coma. Slept 23 hours straight, then would wake up every 30 minutes and crash for a couple more hours.
Am I going to need an EEG? What do you think is wrong?
Answers:
Sounds like it could be a spontaneous cerebrospinal fluid leak (CSF leak) or pseudotumor cerebri (idiopathic intracranial hypertension). Sadly, both of these diseases require you to get a lumbar puncture (they stick a needle in your back) to be diagnosed, but go ahead and ask ur doctor if one of these diseases could be the cause.
I guess you have had your blood tested, right?
hey ,
Most of the online companies , which offer health insurance are scams. That is because they sell only promises that you will get your will save money.Last month I found really good web-site for insurance and I saved more than 30%.
