I need some advice on my Itchy Head!?!

Question: I need some advice on my Itchy Head!?
Ive had a itchy head now for about a month and i need your advice on what to do :)
Firstly, usually the itching comes on and off from time to time and i dont know whats causing it.
It may be headlice but i havent found any eggs or evidence of them, and ive even tried headlice lotion but the itching is still there :S
Im 16 years old with medium 'emo' hair so any help on the cause and possible solutions and i will be eternally greatful :)

Do you use a lot of hair product to keep your "emo" hair in place? If so, you may not be washing it all off, causing build-up on your scalp that makes it itch. While washing your hair, rub your scalp with your fingertips (like a hairdresser would before he/she cuts your hair).

Also, not sure where you are located, but winter's cold weather makes skin dry out, causing it to itch. You may need to just pick up a bottle of head and shoulders :)

I recently went to a dermatologist because of my itchy scalp. I assummed that it was just the shampoo I was using, but even though changing shampoo seemed to help throught the years I would always still wind up picking at these scabs on my head and having blood spots on my pillow.

The dermatologist said that it looked like sun damage, to my surprise. She gave me some samples of this stuff called 'Avar-e' to put on my scalp and here it is just a week later and the sores are almost gone!

I'd say you probably have psoriasis.

change shampoos to a shampoo without paraben which will cause itching.

that is what I did.

Sounds like dry scalp. Try some dandruff shampoo.
