What happens when you are old and have gotten gauged ears when you were young?!

Question: What happens when you are old and have gotten gauged ears when you were young?
I have 9/16 gauges and people are telling me when I'm old that my ears are going to be saggy and big, can you explain why this happens or if it is actually true? 'cause I'm kind of freaked..

Nothing really happens, just the holes remain. I'm over 30 (likely "old" by your standards) and I began stretching my ears nearly 15 years ago. I've been over an inch for 10 years and still love them. They don't continue to get bigger without stretching. I still get compliments on them almost daily.
You're past the "point of no return" where they won't shrink back completely, so you may as well just enjoy them in the present. If you get to a point in your life where you really don't want them anymore, a minor surgery can reverse them. It is far easier to reverse than a bad tattoo.

Stretched ears to 1 3/4 inches.

As you age, gravity will literally cause your ears to sag as they lost a majority of their structure during the initial piercing coupled with the weight of the ring itself. This can be seen in cases of elderly individuals with "excess" skin. Gravity has caused their skin to droop.

it willhappen but you could always et them sewed up
