I smoke a few cigarettes a day and want to quit; should I buy Nicoderm?!
Question: I smoke a few cigarettes a day and want to quit; should I buy Nicoderm?
For the last year and a half I've smoked 4-5 cigarettes a day, sometimes less. I want to quit but I know this is an endeavor I cannot handle alone. So I'm curious as to if Nicoderm can help me. The obvious one to buy is Stage 3, in which each patch is 7 milligrams of nicotine a day. One cigarette has 1 milligram of nicotine, correct? That is more than I smoke! Is it worth me buying this product? Or there an easier alternative to help me? Thank you.

I would recommend trying the Nicorette gum instead. That way you can chew the gum only when you need it, when you get a craving for a cigarette. Just remember to cut down on your Nicorette gum usage gradually over time (try to get by with maybe one less piece of gum per day every week: for instance, if you use an average of five pieces a day the first week or two, try limiting yourself to four pieces a day the next week or two, etc., until you're down to zero).
