Why do they put an almond on you during an MRI?!

Question: Why do they put an almond on you during an MRI!?
I recently went in to have an MRI taken of my soft neck tissue!. The nurse taped an almond to my neck where I indicated that I felt a lump!. I didn't ask her why at the time but now I'm curious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
They used it to mark the lump!. Almonds show up on MRI quite well and it helps the Radiologist who's reading the scan to know exactly where the lump is!.

They probably taped it to your neck to measure the length or size of your "lump" They don't do it all the time!. It least not when I got my MRI done lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe to mark the area but I never heard of them using an almond to do that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They've never done that to me and I've had several MRIs!. Maybe it's just a thing that particular hospital does!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
