Hi all!. My mother in law """thinks""" she knows everything!. Anyways, the other week, my partner told her that he has been drinking lots of water!. You think she would say, "thats great, water is so good for you' buy no!. She says, 'Oh Jamie, be careful if you drink too much water it could drown you from the inside' Hmmm, well never heard this before!. She then told him to mix with some cordial!. Surely water is better for you then cordial isnt it!?

Water is good for you - in order to die from drinking too much water (it does happen, but it's not a result of "drowning) you have to drink way, way more than you ever would do comfortably!.
What happens if you have WAY (like 10 liters) too much is the balance of salts in your body becomes too diluted and your muscles (like the heart) can't contract properly, etc!.)!. This really only happens in water-drinking contests (there was one a year ago that ended with death) or when people exercise a lot and drink tons of water without replenishing electrolytes!.
Cordial is not to be added to water - that's just silly to add alcohol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Drinking too much water can be bad for you, but more because it dilutes you than anything else and you really have to drink a *lot*!. The only way you can drown from drinking too much is if you inhale it instead of swallowing!.

you dont understand because your a girl and its a girl thing thats why your on my moms side not mine!. she ask the manager if he had diapers and high chairs and bibs for her tow babies meaning me and my bro !. how can that not be abuse!? no other mom would do that to there kids only mine would do something like that!.you wouldnt do that!? its not fair she said that!. It was only ketchup everything would have been cool if that stupid manager didnt comeover and said something!. The ppl in front of us would even have notice there was ketchup on there clothes!. she called us babies in front off ppl and some stupid mother came up to my mother in mcdonalds and told her she extra binkys and pampers in her car if she wanted them!. Its not fair i want to report my mom for abuse for saying those things you know!?
