Question: Doctor Patient Confidentiality for underage patient!?!?

I am seventeen years old and live in Northern Virginia!. In a couple of days I'll be going to get a physical, as is required by my college!. I've been going to Planned Parenthood to get birth control, and I'd like to talk to my physician about some side effects I've had with it!. Does Doctor Patient confidentiality apply to me!?
