Question about a physical & drug testing...will he get tested?!

tomorrow my friend has a physical for a job ( trying to get hired for the state of CT) He is a frequent weed smoker i would say its a habit at this point!. The last time he smoked was Thursday the sheet that he has to hand into the clinic says '' a test for controlled substances is not required for this as a part of the biennial certification process'' will he get tested tomorrow or will this be just a standard physical!.!.!.

also the front of the sheet that the DMV gave him says narcotic or habit forming drug use will they only ask him about drug use or will they test!.!.theres a little box next to the question to check off
