Are leaky batteries dangerous?!


Question: Are leaky batteries dangerous!?
I just opened up an old battery powered light that takes those giant d batteries!. It was all moist on the inside but I thought it was oil!. Then when I removed the batteries I realized the liquid was coming from them!. Then after 10 seconds or so my fingers started to burn!. I quickly washed my hands and now I'm worried!. Was it battery acid or something burning my hands!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes that was battery acid but as you washed it off promptly it wont do you any harm as it is a weak acid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
