Mometasone Furoate?!
Question: Mometasone Furoate!?
I pulled a hangnail, and I told my parents that it kind of hurt!.
When I was younger, I pulled a hangnail, and I got a red bump , filled with pus where my hangnail was!.
I searched it on wikipedia, and it's called Paronychia!.
My dad gave me mometasone furoate to put on it, but I dont know if I should use it!.
Can I use mometasone furoate on the bump!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

mometasone furoate contains an ingredient that is a corticosteroid, which is an anti-inflammatory (reduces redness/swelling/inflammation)
if it is still red/swollen/tender it may be infected, and you really need something to treat that!. first, soak the finger in a mixture of antibacterial soap and warm water (not hot!!) for about 15 min!. then use a polysporin cream or ointment and cover it with a bandaid for a couple of days (neosporin or similar)!. an over the counter medication such as ibuprofen will help reduce pain/inflammation/swelling too!.
