First find out what the unpaid bill was for and when the service was performed!. It could all be some sort of mixup!.
If you legitamately owe the money you are probably better off paying fthe bill or it may damage your credit and / or be turned over to a collection agency who will probably start harassing you!. One way to do this is tell them to return the lenses and you will pay the $12 difference and will be using a different doctor in the future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
