Question: I had my 1st baby 8 days ago and am suffering with rectal pain!?
I do have haemorhoids from the birth, but this is not the source of pain!. The pain I'm referring to is a bad wind-like pain in my back passage, and is also felt in my lower back and abdomen area!. The pain when I try to bear down to go to the toilet takes my breath away and I have to stand up quickly!.
The birth was a posterior, difficult birth!. Does anyone know what this could be, I'm worried it could be a prolapse of the bowel!? The symptom only started today!.
I have a doctors appointment in 2 days, but would like some idea now of what this is and if anyone else has suffered anything similar!. Serious answers only please!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

One of the things they don't tell you at Pre Birthing Clinics is that after birth the pain of contractions will continue for a while afterwards!.
But instead of the uteruis contracting OUT it is contracting IN!. Back to it's original position!.
It bloody hurts like labour all over again but only jsut not so bad!.
Take some paracetamol, OK to take if breast feeding, and lay down in a comfortable position with a heat bag on your lower back!.
Get on all fours for even better relief!.
