Step 1:Listen to relaxation CDs some people find the sound of nature sounds, such as the ocean or forest, to be soothing for sleep!.
Step 2:Avoid before-bed snacks, particularly grains and sugars!. This will raise blood sugar and inhibit sleep!. Later, when blood sugar drops too low (hypoglycemia), you might wake up and not be able to fall back asleep!.
Step 3:Sleep in complete darkness or as close as possible!. If there is even the tiniest bit of light in the room it can disrupt you
No TV right before bed!. Even better, get the TV out of the bedroom or even out of the house, completely!. It is too stimulating to the brain and it will take longer to fall asleep
Step 4:Wear socks to bed!. Due to the fact that they have the poorest circulation, the feet often feel cold before the rest of the body!.
Step 5:Avoid using loud alarm clocks!. It is very stressful on the body to be awoken suddenly!.

No!. Its not healthy for a 14 year old to go on only 6 and a half hours of sleep!. Young children need 10 hours, older children need 8!. Grown men need 8!. and Grown women need 7!. Maybe your under stress or overly fatiqued and thats why you can't sleep!. You should see a doctor about the problem, because it can affect other parts of your life!.Also try drinking a tea called "Sleepy Time Tea!." You can buy this over the counter!. It's all natrual and works very well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if u feel that u r functioning properly like u can concentrate during the day and dont find urself falling asleep during class or anything then yes this is fine because everyone has different hours of sleep they need!.

every1 is different meaning 6 hours for one personmay be enough but not close to enough for another person!. Average for your age is about 6-7!. The question is 'how do u feel' in the morning!? if u think it is enough and u have no problem making it out the whole day, then ur fine :PWww@Answer-Health@Com
