Whats a hypoglycemic coma?!
Question: Whats a hypoglycemic coma!?
what is the cause!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Hypo ( low ) Glycemic ( Blood glucose - sugar )
So the cause is low blood sugar levels, And BTW it isn't really a true coma but it is unconscious and if not corrected the person will die
This could happen to anyone if their blood sugar dropped by not eating and they didn't have enough glycogen stores to keep them alive, ( or if they overexerted themselves etc!. ) but this is most commonly seen in Diabetics who are taking Diabetic medications like Insulin or Glucaphage ( etc!. ) These medications help transport the sugar fro their blood into the cells where it is needed, but if the patient takes the med and doesn't eat, or doesn't eat enough, or takes too much medication then the medication uses all of the available blood sugar and without food there is no new blood sugar to take to the cells so the pt becomes confused, sometimes combative, shaky, sweaty, and eventually unconscious and finally dead if not corrected!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

People with diabetes are at risk with hypoglycemic comas!. If a diabetic takes their medication regularly and continues to eat a proper diet they will not slip into one!. However if they don't follow care they can slip into one and awaken once they are treated or possibly die if not treated!. It is an imbalance of blood sugar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
