Question: How do I get my daughter to take her medicine!?
She's 5 years old and on Monday she had a fever, was throwing up and had this horribly violent cough!. When I took her to the pedi, she has pneumonia!. He prescribed some strong medicine, but it tastes gross!. I added peppermint extract to make it go down and she said she loved it the first time!. Now she's refusing again - even with the peppermint!. She's very stubborn!. I've tried the loving way, I've taken away privileges, I've told her she'll have to go to the hospital!.!.!.Nothing is working!. Her father has held her down and tried to pour it down her throat and nothing!.!.!.!.Help!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hide it in ice cream or pudding and give it all in one or two spoonfulls!. We do it all the time for older folks with dementia!. Next time, get the pharmacy to add a different flavoring to the medicine!.!.!.!.CVS and Walgreens both have 30+ flavors to add to meds and they are well worth the $2 charge to do it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
tell her the truth- you need to take the medicine!. you will get sicker, and the medicines will make your tummy/ lungs/ whatever feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
