Will he remember me on the long run?!

Question: I have gotten to know a very nice man who works in my building this week. He explained to me that he suffers from short term memory loss due to the fact that he caught a nasty strain of menangitis 19 years ago which left him comatose for 4 1/2 months. We get along extremely well and I would love to be his friend but I have had to introduce myself to him twice now, and I fear I may have to again today! Regardless of this, our conversations have been open and inspiring and I feel very confortable in his presence; so I feel that there is a familiarity there on his side. He seems almost dissapointed when we part ways (we were on a train on the way back from work and I had to get out at my stop).

He says he is improving and that just like swelling it takes time to heal, working is helping him on a day to day basis.

If anyone out there knows about this condition, please advise. I really hope that somewhere in this lies the possibility of friendship. What can I do?

keep at it
the more often you're there the more memories of you his brain has a chance of remembering =)
and it sounds like he's well worth it

Is it wrong that my first thought is to steal the guys wallet?

If you really like him, take a picture of the two of you together and give it to him, should help keep you present in his thoughts.
