It can be a sign of an iron deficiency, but if that were the case you would feel tired all the time and maybe shortness of breath dizzy or weak.
Its a very common problem more women than men suffer from it and can sometimes be associated with dieting . Doctors recommend a diet rich in iron from dark green vegetables and meats like liver and beef. There is another cause which is a lack of oxygen so lots of long walks in the fresh air , you can why a supplment from your health food store called Q10 .Hope this helps

Could be allergies...or iron deficiency...check with a doctor for sure

could be diabetes

Often these marks can be hereditary - sorry. My friend, in her 40's has dreadful ones as does her 17 year old daughter and 6 year old son Good diet and lots of fresh air can help and there are cosmetics out there that can help, but won't get rid. Good luck.

I'd advise u to get a blood test .. something is missing in ur blood system

The skin under our eyes is thin. It is easily susceptible to the elements of nature which would cause it to be dry. Poor diet and lack of sleep are usually the common reasons on why people get dark eye circles easily.

We might not know this. With the hectic lifestyle and the increased use of computers, most of us spent hours staring at the computer and doing work. What we do not realize is that this is a common cause for dark eye circles. Fatigue is a common cause for the skin underneath the eyes to darken. Take a few minutes of vision break to reduce fatigue.

You could be spending tons of money to reduce eye puffiness and dark eye circles but how effective are they? There is no one single method which works best for everyone. Each one had different body constitution and thus it is really dependent on which method works for you. For example, you might be spending heaps of money on eye care products. Should you be opting for the more expensive eye creams in the market? Should you go for the mid price products? Does the pricier eye gel or cream works better? These might be some doubts or questions that you would ask yourself at the cosmetic counters. Even I have the same question in my head. When I was hunting for an eye cream that suits my needs, I did some research and went to cosmetics counter to look and compare.

I have seen commercials on the before and after effects of using certain products. But I do have my own reservations. The skin under the eyes is delicate. Thus an abuse or misuse of eye products can cause serious consequences. You might end up having oil seeds under your eyes if your eye products are too rich.

The most effective way to use eye cream and gel is to combine it with some simple massage steps. Dab a few dots of the eye cream or gel around your eye area. Starting at the corner below the eye, slowly massage outwards. Then tap lightly under the eye.

If you go for facials, your beautician might be promoting some products to you. If you have trialled and tested on that product, it should be fine to go ahead to purchase that eye cream or gel for daily usage. I especially like it when my beautician put eye paraffin on me. It is hot wax which nourishes and improves blood circulation, thus reducing dark under eye circles.

Good luck!! :)

Yes, off to the docs straight away! Do you suffer from eye strain, you seem to be on here as much as me sometimes and my eyes water if i've been on too long.

see a doctor

This could be due to a number of things. It could be hereditary but if you have never had them before an dno one in your family has them, it may be anaemia or some other health problem.

I would make appointment to see my GP, if i was really concerned.

see a doctor wacky
